Do I need my own regulatory department?

No. That is exactly what NUTRITUS is for: we take over the complete FIC labelling as a service. You send us your recipe, we deliver the audit-proof declaration, prepared by the NUTRITUS team and checked and released by a professionally qualified reviewer.

How long does preparation take?

For a single product with a complete recipe, usually a few working days from order to released declaration. If documents are missing, such as datasheets, we contact you with a specific list.

What does an FIC declaration cost?

The price depends on product type and recipe. You receive a binding fixed-price quote up front with no hidden costs. With multiple products or variants, the price per product decreases.

Only the people working on your order: the NUTRITUS team preparing your declaration and the releasing reviewer. Confidentiality is an integral part of the engagement, every action is in the audit log, and your recipe is never disclosed to third parties or used for other purposes.

Do I need laboratory analysis for my nutrition values?

In most cases no. Per Art. 31(4) of the FIC Regulation, values may be calculated from known or actual average values of the ingredients. That is exactly what we do, including processing losses and rounding per the EU guidance. Laboratory analysis is only advisable in special cases, such as strongly process-dependent values.

What happens if rework is needed?

Questions and revision loops until release are included in the fixed price. Only if you want a changed recipe re-declared after release do we prepare a new quote.

What do you need from me?

Your recipe with quantities (Excel, PDF or a photo is enough), available supplier datasheets for your ingredients, and details on product type, production process and packaging. If something is missing, we tell you specifically what we still need. Much can be supplemented from standard data.

Which product categories are supported?

Confectionery, bakery and fine bakery wares, beverages, deli products and sauces, food supplements and more. For special cases, such as foods for specific consumer groups, we tell you honestly up front whether we cover them.

Do you also review finished labels?

Yes. In the label review we check your finished label or artwork against the FIC mandatory particulars: completeness per Art. 9, ingredient order, allergen emphasis, nutrition table, QUID and font-size requirements.

What happens to my declaration after preparation?

Every released declaration remains stored in NUTRITUS with versioning. If your recipe or an ingredient changes, we assess the impact and update the labelling, on request as an ongoing change service.

Behind every declaration stands the NUTRITUS team for food law and nutrition calculation. It structures your recipe, calculates nutrition values per Art. 31(4), checks allergen duties per Annex II and QUID requirements, and documents everything per Art. 9 FIC. Final release is carried out by a professionally qualified reviewer. Every declaration follows the EU rounding guidance of December 2012, and every document carries the name of the person who released it.

Nutrition declaration per Annex XV

Big 7 (energy, fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein, salt) per 100 g, calculated from the ingredients per Art. 31(4) and rounded per the EU rounding guidance of December 2012.

QUID per Art. 22

Quantitative ingredient declaration for emphasised ingredients: if an ingredient appears in the name or imagery, we calculate the percentage and place it correctly in the ingredient list.

Ingredient order per Annex VII

Descending order by weight including the water rule and resolution of compound ingredients. Additives with functional class plus name or E number.

Mandatory particulars check per Art. 9

Name of the food, net quantity, date of minimum durability, storage conditions, food business operator, alcoholic strength: every mandatory particular is checked as a list, gaps are named specifically.
